MIDNIGHT, 6/25--DuJour, Gleek, Solaries; super drink deals; Zatch Creations! [Jun. 22nd, 2011|11:39 am]
DuJour
For the last Saturday in June, we've booked a dance-friendly trio of DJs that our crowd always loves--DuJour, Gleek, and, back in town again, Solaries! The Meeting Place is offering its best drink specials ever. Zatch Creations will vend, you can party for less by taking advantage of our "cheap date night" discount, and we have even more planned...

THREE HOT DJS

To ensure that you'll be in the mood to dance, we've scheduled two of Midnight's always request-friendly resident DJs, DuJour and Gleek. Count on them to provide an energetic mix of hits both old and brand new throughout the evening, until D.C. forces us to pull the plug around 3:00 a.m.

Joining them behind the decks will be one of the Baltimore/Washington gothic scene's favorites, Solaries. Currently one of our "regular guest" DJs, she's been a promoter, DJ, or both, for virtually every club night worth remembering for more than a decade. Just think of Alchemy, Ambrosia, Ascension, and on down the alphabet. Solaries has also spun for major gatherings such as Convergence, Dracula's Ball, and Nocturne at Shampoo.

This team is bound to get you out on the floor!

THE BEST DRINK DEALS IN TOWN

If you haven't been to Midnight for a couple of weeks, you've been missing some of the best beverage deals in town--real "get up and cheer" stuff!

What's so special? From 10:00 p.m. until last call, you can now order ANY "call brand" cocktail for just $6.00 plus tax. Got a desire for Johnny Walker, Jack Daniels, Jameson, Ciroc, Grey Goose, Bacardi, Captain Morgan? They're all included. So are ALL the other vodkas, bourbons, scotches, gins, rums, and tequilas that The Meeting Place stocks. (The only exception is cognac.) Some come on out and indulge your taste for "top shelf" drinks!

If $6.00 is still a little high for your budget, don't despair. After 10:00 you can also order lemon drop shots for $3.00, ALL beers (domestic & imported, bottled & draft) for $4.00, and "rail drinks" for $4.00 as well. (All prices are + tax.)

And our earlybirds still get a break as well with the two-for-one special from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. Order one qualifying drink at full price during that hour, and you're entitled to a second of the same absolutely free any time prior to last call (typically 2:45 a.m.).

TMP's newly expanded list of food offerings is available if you're hungry until around 1:30 a.m., and you can save 20% on any item ordered from the appetizer menu.

A MARVELOUS VENDOR

Over in the usual vendors corner on the 25th you'll find our old friend Zatch Creations, which "specializes in entirely handmade leather and chainmaile accessories." Its wares range from "simple earrings and bracelets to more elaborate bracers, chokers, and other body accessories." And of course, in addition to high quality workmanship, ZC offers very reasonable prices. So bring a few extra bucks on Saturday and take the time to shop at Zak's tables.

"CHEAP DATE NIGHT" AND OTHER ADMISSION DEALS

Our last "cheap date night" offer was so popular that we're bringing it back for another week. Just arrive before 10:30 p.m. accompanied by a date, roomie, friend, etc., ask for the discount, and the two of you together will pay a total of $7.00 instead of $10.00 to join the party.

The usual deals also apply. If you're one of the first dozen folks in line when we open, your admission is free; and if you show our cash table your current school ID (must be 18, includes faculty/staff as well as students), you'll save $2.00.

AND DON'T FORGET THE DRAWING & FREE CAKE

We'll be giving away more CDs, DVDs, and a $10.00 food coupon in the weekly drawing. Just stop by our literature table when you arrive, fill out a slip, and drop it into the nearby cauldron in order to be eligible.

There'll be free cake served around the witching hour, too. Best b'day wishes to Kevin H., Michelle, Kylie, Trista, Julieanne, Punk Steve, Barbara, Ally, Beth, Sasha Shame, Rachel, and Nathan!

Forget the beach and those backyard cookouts plagued by hordes of mosquitoes. Midnight's rocking again this Saturday night, and we want you to come join the festivities!

-- Scott & the Midnight crew

P.S. -- Be sure to mark your calendars for Saturday, July 2. In addition to our usual features, we'll be presenting a gothic burlesque act straight from Las Vegas!!! Look for full details in next week's mailing...
